Arcadia, Inc. participated in the seminars-presentations in Finland and Sweden in the frame of the Fourth Consecutive "Russian IT Season" arranged to unveil the benefits of software development outsourcing to Russia.

To unveil the benefits of technological cooperation between Russian and European software development companies was the main goal of the seminars. Many well-known corporations in Europe already harvest benefits of outsourcing to the Russian software development companies leveraging the talents of Russian scientists and software engineers. Consortium Fort-Ross, Finpro and Russia ICT Connector Project organized the seminars to disseminate information about successful outsourcing cooperation between Russian and European software companies.

Arcadia, Inc. has over 10 years history of cooperation with Finnish and Swedish software companies. President of Arcadia, Inc. Mr. A. Khotin focused on the best practices of mutually beneficial software outsourcing partnerships developed during the years of cooperation. Mr. A. Khotin described Arcadia's experience in managing long-term partnerships, overcoming business cultural differences, and achieving efficient communication and project management.

Extensive experience in outsourcing cooperation and broad technological expertise of the Russian software development companies attract strong attention of the European companies. Representatives from over 70 companies, including KnowIT, Nokia, TietoEnator, SAS and many others visited the seminars in the frame of the "Russian IT Season 2003" in Finland and Sweden.

Arcadia, Inc. participated in the Testing Summit in Savonlinna, Finland.

The Testing Summit was organized by SoftaTest, an independent software testing company located in Savonlinna, Finland.

Many well-known Finnish companies (including Nokia, Conformiq Software Oy, Tesnet Finland) and their guests attended the Summit to share their knowledge and practices in the software testing for terminal manufacturers, telephone operators, and software development companies.

The great importance of independent software testing services was emphasized at the Summit.

Arcadia's presentation regarding software testing services outsourcing attracted special attention of the participants. Arcadia's modern software testing laboratory, established and proved testing procedures, and extensive experience in testing of different software products (including software products for mobile devices and phones) are regarded by current and prospective clients as valuable assets and background for establishing long term cooperation.

Software testing outsourcing to Russia is considered as a nice business opportunity for the Finnish companies.

The Quality Management System developed by Arcadia, Inc. for software design, development, testing and delivery has been certified to operate in compliance with international standard ISO 9001:2000. The certification process was performed by ACERT Bureau according to international rules and norms of ISO/IEC G62_2 and EN 45012.

Arcadia, Inc. participated in Software Outsourcing Summit 2003 in St.- Petersburg.

The Software Outsourcing Summit is organized by the "Fort Ross Information Technology Services" consortium and the National Software Development Association "RUSSOFT". The Summit took place in the "Gelios" hotel in Zelenogorsk, a picturesque suburb of Saint Petersburg. Over 500 representatives of software development companies and IT associations has attended the Summit. This year, the Summit took place for the third time. It is the largest event in the areas of IT outsourcing, offshore software development, and international IT co-operation in Russia.

Arcady Khotin, the president of Arcadia, Inc., moderated the roundtable discussion "Overcoming the cultural differences, Russia-Scandinavia Case Study" that has been held in the frameworks of the "High Tech Solutions from Russia" panel.

Arcadia, Inc. participated in the international exhibition of information and telecommunications technologies CeBIT.

CeBIT 2003 was taking place in the tough times for the IT industry. The economy in Germany is slowing down and political tensions deepen anxiety. The drop of visitors was easy to notice. However, the quality of inquiries was high. People were not coming to our stand just by chance. People who already had projects came to us for solutions. We had some very good meetings. Now we are starting projects with the companies that we have met at CeBIT 2003.

Solit Group Announces Creation of a European Support Center
Solit Signs an Alliance with Arcadia, Inc. of St. Petersburg, Russia

In order to improve support to its European client base, Solit Group, has decided to create a European Product Support Center in St. Petersburg, Russia through a strategic alliance with Arcadia, Inc.

Arcadia, Inc. participated in Comdex Scandinavia 2003 - the main IT exhibition in Scandinavian countries. The Comdex Scandinavia is a perfect meeting place to contact with the players of the Scandinavian IT industry.

Leif Pogrotsky the Minister of Industry of Sweden visited Russian pavilion and talked to the heads of Russian software companies about the possibilities of cooperation.

Arcadia, Inc. participated in the First Russian-German Symposium on Information and Communication Technologies

At the Symposium, Arcady Khotin, president of Arcadia, Inc., delivered a report about successful cooperation between Arcadia and a German software company in developing a product based on a new platform. Arcadia, Inc. participated in the Second Software Outsourcing Summit in St.- Petersburg.

The Software Outsourcing Summit was organized, already for the second time, by the consortium "Fort Ross Information Technology Services" and the St. Petersburg City Administration. More than 200 software development companies and IT associations took part in the Summit. The Summit has become an international marketplace for meetings, information exchange, and projects negotiation. The growing Russian offshore software development industry is attracting increasingly intense attention from the international software market.

Since 2001, when the First Software Outsourcing Summit took place, Arcadia, Inc. has achieved substantial progress in software development methodology and technology. Arcadia presented at the Second Summit new project management tools and reusable components for software project development.

Arcadia, Inc. had a great success at the COMDEX exhibition. We are happy to see that interest in our services from Swedish companies has grown dramatically over the last couple of years. COMDEX once more demonstrated that software development outsourcing indeed becomes one of the main global trends in the IT industry of the 21st century.

COMDEX Nordic Conference is the biggest international IT conference in the Nordic countries with speakers from all over the world. COMDEX Nordic has received an enormous interest and attention.
