A software development affiliate of a USA-based
financial group produces software for automating
the title insurance and real estate businesses.
This company is a leader in creating innovative
technological solutions for these two rapidly
changing industries.
Key Problems
To meet the challenge of rapid evolution
of mobile devices and WAP technology, the
company had to meet the mobile needs of
these industries. Mobile phones had to have
access to the online property research system
NiteOwl Plus™. While the company had the
staff to keep the NiteOwl Plus™ real estate
features up-to-date, it did not have enough
development resources to implement the new
access ways for the customers.
This company already had experience working
with Arcadia, Inc..
and did not hesitate to outsource this job
to Arcadia.
Arcadia, Inc.
Solution
The Arcadia, Inc.
team assigned to this project ported all
NiteOwl Plus™ services to WAP, including
property profiles, export data, home sales
listings, links to various information,
community demographics, etc. Moreover, not
only the NiteOwl services were ported to
WAP, but also some XML data providers were
designed and implemented to be used in the
future versions of the software.
Employed technologies: WML for the
client-side scripts, ASP technology for
producing XML-formatted data, XSL for data
representation, MS Developer Studio 6.0,
Phone.com's Software Developer Kit (UP.SDK™).
Duration of the project:
3 months or 4 person/months. Location of work: Saint Petersburg,
Russia.
